"Now, I was raised Catholic. I don't know if you can tell that from the everything about me. My wife is Jewish, I grew up Catholic, so we got married by a friend. "It was hands-down the most rewarding thing that I did in makeup in my entire makeup career," Anna Marie told Nylon magazine in a 2019 interview. "We did 140 shows just on Broadway, that doesn't include the tour and off-Broadway. I went from writing books, which was very solitary, to working on Broadway on something really collaborative and that was so fun."

December 2020: John checked into rehab for 60 days for alcohol and cocaine addiction, according to multiple reports
The New York Post's Page Six broke the news that he would be entering a treatment facility for 60 days. Multiple reports said he checked himself into rehab for cocaine and alcohol abuse.
In previous interviews, John had spoken about how he began drinking at the age of 13 and later reportedly abused drugs, including cocaine and prescription drugs. He said he got sober when he was 23.
The comedian reportedly checked out in February andentered outpatient sober care.

May 2021: The couple confirmed to Page Six they were divorcing
After six years of marriage, the couple confirmed to Page Six that they would be getting a divorce.
A spokesperson for John confirmed the divorce to Page Six and added, "John will not have any further comment as he continues to focus on his recovery and getting back to work."
Through a spokesperson, Anna Marie told Page Six, "I am heartbroken that John has decided to end our marriage." In the statement, she said she wishes "him support and success as he continues his recovery."
Representatives for Mulaney and Tendler didn't immediately respond to Insider's request for comment.
